Capturing the natural world in images is a passion that has driven Bill Campbell to photograph since he was very young. Believing that images can inspire others to understand and respect the fragile nature of our world, his mission has been to weave together elements of the beauty of our planet to represent the splendor of our temporary home. A nationally recognized and award winning nature photographer, Bill’s credits include Outdoor Photographer, Birders World, Backpacker, PCPhoto and various other magazines. He has taught for Great American Photo Workshops, Rocky Mountain School of Photography, NANPA Roadshow and his own Campbell Digital Institute. He resides in Oak Ridge, Tennessee with his wife Rebecca. Between the two of them they have 5 boys, 2 still at home. He is currently on the Board of NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association) as President-Elect and assumes the position of President on March 1, 2012.
Besides his passion for nature photography, Bill has also been an Emergency Room physician for the past 22 years but is now concentrating on Wilderness Medicine to combine his passion and expertise in nature photography with his passion and expertise of medicine in wilderness settings.
